What do you get when you mix an imaginative 3-year-old with dog-owning family member? The sweetest story I’ve shared in a long time.
Brayden clocked in at five birthday parties for his third birthday, with the finale being in Connecticut. I can’t help but think I need to curb this trend next year.
Brayden celebrated his (impending) 3rd birthday with a pirate-themed birthday bash. Surprises and treasures awaited little b and his mateys—including an unexpected visit from a real, live pirate!
…of nap, that is. Brayden may be ready to start skipping nap but I’m not sure I am.
This weekend Brayden and I visited one of our favorite places, Sierra Safari Zoo, and celebrated my mom’s birthday.
Bye-bye, baby crib. Hello, toddler bed! Brayden is now proudly sleeping like a big boy in his room.
Recipe for a Happy Mommy Maui cocktail: equal parts new friends, handsome boyfriend, pog and waterfalls. Shake. Serve with a rum float.
Brayden, Shawn and I have been beating the heat by spending two weekends of sun and fun at Lake Tahoe with a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese in the middle.
This week had a little of everything. An anniversary, a birthday, Father’s Day and even a good ol’ fashioned sod laying party.
My oh-so-smart toddler figured out how to negotiate the equivalent of a hostage exchange; in this case, he’s holding out on taking medicine until a popsicle is in his near future.
Brayden enjoyed his first round of mini golf with his buddy, Elijah, and the mommies got to caddy.
This weekend Brayden bravely faced a big adventure—his first trip to an amusement park! My parents and I took B to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and we all laughed, screamed and ate to exhaustion.
I’m so happy I could shine in the dark. Between massages, flowers, a family BBQ and even an early morning wake up call, this has been a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.
Listening to the classic Toy Story theme song put a lot into perspective for me. Friends, both new and old, are the common thread in a range of recent events that include a 48-hour trip to D.C. and more dinner parties than I could count.
This week had it all—pizza with friends (twice!), a practical exam for Mensa, brownies AND big rigs!
