Daddy’s MVP

Brayden is growing (literally!) by the day. As of his doctor’s appointment this past Friday, Brayden is 9 lb 4 oz and still in the 90th percentile. This means he’s ready to move up into his 0-3 mos wardrobe. The first big boy outfit? His “Daddy’s MVP” onesie of course! Here are some pictures of Brian and Brayden enjoying a leisurely Sunday watching some football.

Grandma Karen Visits

Brayden met his Grandma Karen when she came to visit on 9/18. They had a great time playing and spending time together. During her visit, Brayden met Frank and Sylvia Falcioni. Frank and Sylvia have been a part of Brian’s life since he was 6 mos old so it was very special for them to meet Brayden. Grandma Karen babysat on Wednesday night so Brian and I could have a little dinner date! Thank you, Grandma Karen! We miss you already and Brayden says for our next visit we’re beach bound to see you in Pismo!

Aunty + Uncles = Love

It took almost three weeks but Uncle Ryan finally held his nephew on Monday, 9/20. Uncle Ryan claims babies don’t like him but as you can plainly see from these pictures, Brayden is the exception to that rule. Also, here are a few pictures of Brayden being held by his Aunty Heather and Uncle Jake who love to come by to play with him. He’ll meet his Uncle Mark when he visits in October. Needless to say, Brayden is very loved by his Aunty and all his Uncles and hopes there is a lot more cuddling from them in his future!

Suck it!

Brayden’s little life is now much suckier – thanks to his new pacifier. Now that’s he’s two weeks old, he’s allowed to partake in the wonderful world of the binky and he’s not looking back. Here’s to a happy, comforted baby!

First Day with Pacifier - 09 17 10

So big, so fast!

Brayden's two-week doctor's appointment was on Wednesday, and wouldn't you know it - he's already a little overachiever! Brayden's now at 8 lb. 7 oz. and 21 1/4 inches which puts him in the 90th percentile for baby boys his age. His doctor said that average babies gain about half an ounce a day but Brayden's on pace for a full ounce. Our little man is already growing big so fast!

The thumb has landed

Brayden’s been hunting around for his thumb for days now. Normally, he has on his little hand mittens on but today they were off for a bit so he got the chance to try again. Luckily, Dad had the video camera nearby and caught the moment when Brayden successfully made the thumb to mouth connection.

Brayden’s first doctor’s appointment

Brayden had his very first doctor’s appointment on Wednesday, September 8. He really likes his pediatrician, Dr. Tammy. During this appointment, we learned Brayden is now
8 lb. 1 oz. and 20 3/4 inches! He’s already growing so fast!

I finally get to be cuddled by mom and dad!

By this time I have been placed under bright lights, in strange peoples hands, and taken from the place I called home for the last 9 months.  All I want is a little familiarity.  I just want mom and dad to hold and comfort me.

My first bath.

Here are some pictures of my first bath.  I really didn't like it.  There are so many new things going on.  I really don't know what I like yet but I'm preatty sure it's not taking baths.

First pictures after I was born.

Hello world my name is Brayden Mark Jewell!  I can't wait to meet all of my new family.  A little about me...I was born September 1, 2010 at 3:33am.  My official weigh in I was at 7lbs11ozs and 20" long.  I am so glad to finally meet the voices I have heard for the last 9 months.  Mom was good to me and only had to push on me for about 45 minutes and I was so relieved that dads hands were the first ones to touch me since he was the one who delivered me.  Here are some pictures of the first minutes of my life.
