Lil’ pumpkin’s first patch

Brayden is officially a little boy. He has stomped, fallen in and eaten dirt. And where did this happen? During his first visit to a pumpkin farm!

Brayden had so much fun touching the pumpkins, running around and looking at the farm animals during our visit to Ferrari Farms in Reno on Saturday. As an added bonus, we even saw one of Brayden’s little classmate from daycare. And then at the end of our visit, he picked out a perfect little pumpkin to take home.

Brayden brings such joy into our lives. No matter what’s happened that day, all he has to do is flash you his signature double-dimpled smile and everything fades away. One of the best parts of parenting is teaching your child how amazing he is when he learns something new or demonstrates a new skill. Brayden recently figured out how to stack his cups (with a little help keeping the base balanced from Mom and Dad). Here’s a video of our sweet baby boy celebrating his big accomplishment.

You can’t help but smile when you watch him clap, can you? I couldn’t be a luckier mommy.

Also, a note for next week’s blog post for you devoted Monday readers. Since Halloween’s on Monday, I’ll be delaying my usual Sunday post until after the holiday. Don’t worry – it will be worth the wait!
