Christmas Continued

Today a big box filled with presents from Great Gramma Braun, Great Grampa Braun, Aunt Vicky and Uncle Ed arrived at the house.

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, M“ear”y Christmas, my dad’s side of the family had a box of gifts in transit from Connecticut.

When I brought the box inside the house and began to unload its contents, Brayden was bouncing up and down like a jumping bean. He was beside himself at the prospect of opening more gifts. Lucky little dog…

Here’s the fun that followed:

Any parent can probably relate to the urgent pleas to “Play with it!” which is toddler speak for “Put this damn thing together—stat!” The part you don’t get to see is me spending the next 30 minutes frantically assembling 45 plastic pieces and applying 30+ decorative stickers to the masterpiece that is the Little Tikes Big Adventures Action Fliers toy my grandparents got him. It was worth it in the end though when Brayden’s posed so proudly next to his super fun new toy.

Brayden also received an entire zoo of hand puppets and two wonderful new books—Aesop’s Fables and The Wizard of Oz. And on top of all this, there were also gifts for my mom and dad, brother and me.

Our Connecticut family is so wonderful. We are beyond blessed to have so much love in our life. Thank you!
